The ADC, has planned its presidential campaign flag-off in Sokoto State for Wednesday.

Its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is expected to lead the event.

The ADC State Presidential Campaign Coordinator, Senator Ibrahim Lamido, announced the plans in a statement on Wednesday.

He said Atiku will land at Sultan Abubakar III International Airport in Sokoto at 9 a.m.

Supporters and members of the public are invited to welcome him there before he heads to the party's state secretariat on No. 1 Ilorin Road.

Lamido also told party leaders across the state's 23 local government areas to bring out their members.

He asked mobilisation teams, support groups, and women and youth organisations to make sure turnout is strong.

The event comes as tension grows between the ADC and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Sokoto.

The ADC has accused the state government of sealing its campaign office on Ahmadu Bello Way and has demanded that it be reopened immediately.

The party has also complained about attacks and political intimidation against its members and supporters. Political stakeholders have responded to the claims.

The flag-off gives the ADC a chance to build its support and get its message to voters in Sokoto ahead of the 2027 general elections.
