The policeman in picture was accused of causing an accident in Lagos traffic while reportedly trying to extort money from one of the trailer drivers.
He was almost lynched by the angry mob who rough-handled him and forced him to give an account of the incident that led to the accident.
A part of the crowd alleged he is a fake police officer who should be handed over to appropriate authorities for prosecution.
