Seun Kuti Pays Homage To Elder Brother, 'King' Femi On 53rd Birthday

In a public show of brotherly love, Seun Kuti has sent a birthday shout out to his elder brother, Femi, whose 53rd birthday is today.

Some few years ago there was speculations late Afrobeat creator, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti's sons, Femi and Seun Kuti, were not on good terms but that rumour soon gave way after they both performed on stage together for the first time ever at the '2 Kings' Concert, which held at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos in April.

In yet another proof that there is no bad blood between them, Seun took to Instagram to celebrate his elder brother, whose 53rd birthday is today.

Seun, who is also an Afrobeat singer like Femi, posted the photo below of the latter with the caption: "Happy birthday to the King. Long live the King!!!"

The message might be an indication of Seun's acceptance of his elder brother as worthy heir to the throne of Afrobeat left empty by the demise of their father, the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
