Teacher Fondles and Inserts His Finger in 13-year-old Pupil's Private Part

 

A pervert teacher in Edo State has been sentenced to 4 years imprisonment after he was found guilty of luring a 13-year-old girl into the office and forcefully hugging, kissing and fondling the little girl. 

 

The 47-year-old man identified as Rotimi Olayemi was sentenced in an Egor Magistrates’ Court, Benin, Edo State, on Wednesday. 

 

The English teacher at the King of Kings College, committed the crime on May 26, 2014 in the college while other students were in class, police prosecutor, Mrs. Osasu Ewemade revealed.

 

Ewemade explained that the teacher invited the victim to his office where he hugged, kissed and fondled her before putting his hand in her private parts.

 

She said the offence contravened Section 360 of the Criminal Code, Cap 48, Vol. II, Law of the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria, 1976, as applicable in Edo.

 

The convict had  pleaded not guilty to the charges.

 

The presiding magistrate, Mrs. Igho Braimoh, found him guilty on all counts and sentenced him to one year in prison for each count. Braimoh added that the prison terms would run concurrently. The magistrate, however, gave an option of fine of N50,000 for each of the counts.
