This Is An Illegal Construction - Lagos State Commissioner For Environment Reacts To Video Of A Canal In Lekki Being Sandfilled to Build A Structure

Mr Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources in Lagos State has reacted to a viral video of a man alerting authorities about houses being built on a canal at Orchid Road in the Lekki area of the state.

The man showed a part of the canal that had already been sand-filled for structures to be built on them.

Reacting to the video, the Commissioner described it as ‘’illegal construction' and stated that the state government would take action.
