See Photo of Man Killed by Soldier That Caused Hausa-Fulani and Igbos Clash in Aba

 

Abia State was yesterday thrown into a state of pandemonium following the occurrence of a bloody fight between Hausa/Fulanis and Igbos. Many people lost their lives in the chaos.

 

It was gathered that the fight started when a soldier on mufti allegedly refused to pay money after smoking marijuana. The boys there molested him. Later, he regrouped and came back with military vans and started shooting sporadically at the people. He and the others also beat up the people.

 

At the end of it, about two people died. 

 

It was later learnt that at about 12.00noon, the incident later took an  ethnic colouration, as the protesters marched towards the Mosque and the Hausa settlement  on Hospital Road, but were  quickly  dispersed by soldiers who kept watch over the places.
