Read What Army Said About Chibok Girl That was Finally Found Today

The Nigerian Army has released a statement after claims emerged that one of the over 200 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram was rescued from Sambisa forest today.

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the rescue of one out of the 219 Girls of Government Secondary School, Chibok, who were abducted by Boko Haram in 2014.
 
This was made public by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman in a brief statement entitled, ‘One if Chibok Girls Rescued by a Troops’ on Wednesday.
 
Usman said the girl identified as Falmata Mbalala was rescued by troop troops at Baale, Borno State.
“This is to confirm that one of the abducted Chibok girls, Falmata Mabalala, was among the rescued persons by our troops near Baale, Damboa,” the statement read.
 
Activists and community leaders said she was found on Tuesday night and brought to meet her mother in the town of Mbalala, near Chibok, before being taken to a military base in Damboa.
