The Nigerian Air Force has released the names of 25 people killed in the aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State, on Monday.
They were five crew members and 20 passengers.
The Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said in a statement that the plane was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when it crashed.
Search and rescue was started right away with relevant authorities and emergency agencies, but the Air Force confirmed there were no survivors.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, sent his condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the victims.
He called the crash a deeply painful moment for the Air Force and the country, and promised the bereaved families full support.
He also ordered a full investigation into what happened.
The NAF said it will keep giving timely and verified updates as the investigation goes on.
It asked the public to avoid speculation and unverified reports, and to respect the privacy and dignity of the victims' families.
A condolence register has also been opened at the NAF Headquarters in Abuja for senior government officials, diplomats, heads of security agencies and other sympathisers.
