NDC chieftain Buba Galadima has accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, of buying lawmakers at federal and state levels with cash and cars.
Galadima spoke on Tuesday during an online interview.
He said President Bola Tinubu and all APC governors fear a real contest and want to win without any opposition.
According to him, members of State Houses of Assembly who give up their tickets for APC candidates are paid N50 million each, while members of the House of Representatives get N200 million and a car.
He said a woman from Zamfara State is sharing the money in a hotel in Abuja to candidates who agree to drop out.
He claimed she met the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, about four days ago and showed him some of the candidates who had given up their right to contest.
He alleged that they wrote resignation letters and collected the money.
Galadima said the general elections are only 100 days away and that, apart from those in power, politicians are watching their backs.
He added that he does not think any candidate outside the APC is sure of contesting the election.
