The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, has visited the Nigerian Air Force facility in Abuja to sign the condolence register for the victims of the Ondo aircraft crash.
Obi shared this in a statement on social media, where he sent his condolences to the Air Force and the families of those who died.
He said the visit gave him another chance to reflect on the sacrifices that men and women of the Armed Forces and other security agencies make every day.
According to him, these brave Nigerians put their lives on the line to defend the nation and protect its people, and their service should never be taken for granted.
Obi extended his deepest condolences to the Nigerian Air Force and to the families, colleagues and loved ones of the victims.
He prayed that God grants the departed eternal rest and gives their families strength to bear the painful loss.
He also prayed for God to keep protecting all who serve the country.
