Tochi Oluebube is back at work as Deputy Director of Logistics at the Abia State Homeland Security Agency.
The state government cancelled her earlier dismissal.
She was fired earlier this year and then taken to the Federal High Court in Umuahia.
She was accused of misconduct, theft, vandalism and other offences.
She denied all of them.
The state set up a panel to look at her case.
The panel cleared her of the charges, and the government then cancelled the dismissal.
The Acting General Manager of the agency, Chukwunenye Alajemba, welcomed her back in Umuahia.
He said sorry for what she went through and said the government has moved to restore her dignity and her role.
He said Governor Alex Otti ordered the probe after Tochi made a complaint.
The panel found her side of the story held up, so the governor asked for her to be reinstated.
Alajemba admitted the first decision was made too fast.
He said the facts were not clear at the time and that he was part of that decision too.
He added that nobody won or lost in this matter.
In his words, Tochi is not a thief and was just a victim of bad timing.
