A man who lost contact with his family after two whole decades, has made an emotional reunion with his daughter.

The moment Mr Abrego spoke with his daughter

Pedro "Tony" Abrego, a homeless man got really emotional after speaking to his daughter for the first time in 20 years. The moment when he made the call is seen in the photo above.

The father and his daughter had lost touch after the man lost contact with his children in the wake of his divorce.

However, according to Pedro "Tony" Abrego, a 10-year friendship he struck with Juan, a liquor store employee, helped him reconnect with his family.

Mr Abrego revealed that with Juan's help, he posted a photo of himself on Facebook and received a message from his daughter after only two days.

The first phone conversation between father and daughter was very emotional.

Still shaken from hearing his daughter's voice, Tony was full of praise for Juan.

Arrangements are now being made for a family get-together. The family is said to be willing to forgive Mr Abrego's long absence.
