Drama as 'Witches' Are Banished From a Village After Confessing to Killing 37-year-old Man

 

There was drama recently as three alleged witches were banished from a community for allegedly confessing to killing a 37-year-old man.

 

The three escaped being lynched to death as angry friends of the deceased protested. The incident happened in Kpene, a community near Sagnarigu in the Northern Region of Ghana.

 

According to Adom News, the three alleged thieves confessed to killing Muniru Dokurug, 37 who died mysteriously on Saturday after a short illness.

 

The youth said they have identified a man and woman in the town using witchcraft to kill people, thereby petitioning the traditional authority asking them to banish all ‘witches’ in the town leading to the confession by the three alleged.

 

The activities of the witches have caused more than 100 members of the community to flee for refuge at Sagnarigu due to the incessant deaths in the town.

 

After the arrest and banishment of some of the witches, the men are now returning.
