Video Evidence of Alleged Phone Thief, Seun Egbegbe's Arrest Emerges as Film-maker Spends 2nd Day in Custody

Posted by Odinaka on Thu 24th Nov, 2016 - tori.ng

Contrary to a report claiming that Seun Egbegbe was neither arrested nor beaten by any mob, video evidence of the film-maker's arrest has emerged as he spends the second day in police custody.

Seun Egbegbe being allegedly caught and beaten for stealing iPhone 7

Just after we reported on Tuesday that Lagos-based film-maker, Seun Egbegbe, the estranged lover of popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu, was arrested at the popular Computer village in Ikeja for allegedly stealing iPhones, a report and statement credited to Seun Egbegbe claimed that he was neither arrested nor beaten by any mob.

The statement read in part, “The story is pretty laughable and better left in the court of public opinion. Ordinarily, I do not want to join issues with the writer of the publication, but I have a responsibility to set the records straight for my fans, friends and foes, in the defence of the truth.

“To say the least, the news did not only grossly misinform unsuspecting public; it also portrays traces of campaign of calumny by some mercenary hell bent on destroying my name, for reasons best known to them."

Events took a new twist on Wednesday afternoon when reports emerged that the film-maker was still spending time in police custody for stealing.

GoldMyne TV reported: "Earlier today Seun Egbegbe Allegedly released a statement stating he is chilling in his House, well that can be true because (Who ever steals can lie)

"However #GoldmyneTV Visited Area F Divisional Police Station today and we can categorically tell you that Seun Egbegbe is CHILLING Behind Bars (Police Cell) and not in his House as he claims

"So Who is actually chilling in Seun Egbegbe's House?"

Meanwhile video evidence has emerged where an eyewitness gave an account of the Seun Egbegbe iPhone theft saga at Computer Village, saying it's his 6th time.

Another video evidence of Seun Egbegbe's arrest has also emerged as he spends the second day in custody as the Nigerian Police in Lagos is set to issue a statement today, Thursday.
