#BBNaija: Will Kemen Sue Big Brother Naija Over 'Sad' Disqualification? Family Releases Statement

Kemen's brother has taken to social media and released a statement unbehalf of his family in reaction to the ongoing media rumours that the family planned on suing Big Brother Naija over Kemen's disqualification.

News had emerged online some hours ago alleging that the family of the disqualified and evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Kemen, legally registered their utmost displeasure and discontentment on his disqualification from the ongoing reality TV show.

Recall that Kemen, was on Sunday, before the live eviction show, disqualified and asked to leave the Big Brother house as a result of breaking the statutory rules of the game by making s*xual advances at fellow housemate, Tboss, while she was asleep without her consent.

A source close to the family had disclosed to Vanguard that they are displeased with the level of punishment Big Brother meted out on Kemen, arguing that it has tarnished the image and dignity of Kemen, making Nigerians begin to see him as a perverted r*pist, adding that they might consider a legal battle with the TV show.

In a new statement released on Facebook by Kemen's brother on his social media account, the family debunked the media rumours making rounds online.

Re: Kemen's Family Threatens To Sue Big Brother Naija.

Dear Nigerians, My Name is Mmenimkeakpaniko Ekerette, Eldest brother to Ekemini Ekerette AKA KEMEN of the Big Brother Naija. Our attention have been drawn to various publication and news items circulating in the media, that we the family of Kemen intend to take legal action against the organizers of Big Brother Naija 2017 about the way and manner that our son Kemen was disqualified from the reality TV show.

We want to state it clearly that the family of Kemen have not met with, or spoken to anyone regarding this issue. While we are yet to hear Kemen's side of the of story, we urge everyone to please disregard this false rumour that is becoming a campaign of calumny to continue to cast Kemen as savage in the eye of the public.

While we regret his unceremonious exit from the Big Brother House, we would like members of the press, bloggers and indeed the public to give Kemen and his family the privacy we deserve at this trying moment. Thank you for your love and support. #BBNaija #Teamkemen
