An emotional moment was captured during a Nigerian wedding ceremony as the mother of the bride broke down in tears of joy as her daughter's hand was given away.

A newlywed lawyer whose mother cried at her wedding ceremony has got herself trending on Instagram after posting this photo with a very hilarious caption.

The lady posted a photo of her mom in tears and wrote; "When they realized I won't be there to wash plates anymore...."
