Photos of Residents Fleeing for Their Lives as Boko Haram Attack Jiddari Polo in Borno

 

Many people in Jiddari Polo community area of Borno State in Maiduguri have fled for their lives after Boko Haram members attacked the people.

 

The heavy gun attack was repelled by men of the Nigerian army who killed most of the insurgents. The Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman urged residents not to panic.

 

"Please do not panic. Situation under control in Maiduguri. People should not panic," Usman wrote.

 

However, most of the scared residents have since left the affected area to safety.
