A growing child yesterday was injured in Borno State over the panic of the invasion of Boko Haram fighters who wanted to capture the state capital.

Heavy gunshots reverberated from the outskirts of Maiduguri yesterday evening when Boko Haram made another bold attempt to enter the state capital.

A cute young girl was injured on her fore-head as her guardian tried to scamper for safety with the child. A picture of her bloodied face is currently trending on social media with Nigerians showing sympathy.

Concluding reports have it that the Boko Haram fighters were completely repelled by the Nigerian troops.
