See the Young Man Who Died When His Throat Was Slashed Open During a Boxing Match

 

This is Reagan Asbury, the 19-year-old who tragically died after his throat was reportedly slashed during a fight at a boxing match in England.

According to Metro UK, tributes have been paid to Reagan Asbury after he was attacked outside Walsall town hall when dozens of fans began to brawl at an event on Saturday night.

 

The 19-year-old was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries, while another two people are also thought to have suffered stab wounds.

 

Violence erupted partway through the title fight between Luke Paddock and Myron Mills with footage showing fans hurling chairs and glasses at each other just yards from the ring. Dozens of tributes to Reagan have been left on Facebook since news of his death emerged.

 

Ben Storey wrote: ‘Absoloutely heartbroke [sic]. Was more than an honour to call you my friend.’ Olivia Lauren Berry added: ‘Overwhelmed to say the least, I’m glad I had the pleasure of meeting you.’

 

Kaylee Asbury said: ‘My truly handsome cousin had so much to offer and it has all been taken away at such a young age.

 

‘What is this world coming to, can’t even have a fun night out anymore.’ Jim Joseph said: ‘Rest in peace Reagan Asbury we’ve had some quality memories over the years.

 

 

One of the boxers on the show, Jordan Clayton, fronts the ‘Boxers Against Blades’ initiative in Birmingham so was disappointed to hear there had been violence.

 

‘Last night I went in the ring representing my friend Callum Lees, who was fatally stabbed a couple months back,’ he said. ‘After the fight last night there was a fight outside the venue.
