Nigerian soldiers battling the Boko Haram sect in the North-eastern part have overtime being unlucky with fields mined by the terrorist group to thwart clearance operations.

Alfred Aondofa Alpha on duty

A gallant Nigerian soldier, Alfred Aondofa Alpha is filled with thanks to God for saving his life after stepping on improvised explosive device, IED.

According to the soldier this happened on January 1st during a clearance operation in the north east.

The appreciative soldier didn't reveal how he managed to survive the IED after stepping on it as he thanked God for rescuing him.
