Drama as Female Driver Faints After Crushing Man Crossing the Road (Photo)

 

A motorist has left many stunned as she fainted after crushing a pedestrian trying to cross the road with her car. The incident took place along the airport road in Abuja yesterday.

 

The incident nearly claimed the life of an 11-year-old girl who escaped with injuries. The woman driving an unmarked Honda vehicle, ran over a yet-to-be identified young man when he was crossing the busy road.

 

The accident attracted motorists who rushed to see the corpse of the deceased which was laid by the roadside before men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) took it away in their van.

 

However, the woman fainted after crushing the man and another man drove away her vehicle from the scene to an unknown location. The corpse of the dead man was later deposited at Garki hospital’s morgue. 

 

He disclosed that the FRSC would identify the girl injured in the accident. The divisional police officer at Lugbe was not available for comment but a police source said the police have commenced investigation into the matter.
