An employee of the apex bank of Nigeria has given an insight to the salary scale of junior officers in the financial institution.

Banking is one of the most lucrative and exceptional business line a lot of people would like to be engaged in. The huge demand of its academic course in schools keeps increasing on a regular basis.

The Central Bank of Nigeria provides space for the activities of other banks and regulate their affairs.

It is the dream of a lot of graduates to work in a bank due to the kind of salary paid to staff. CBN as the apex bank is no exception as their entry level basic salary is fair compared to what other top companies in Nigeria pay their workers.

The banking sector just like the oil and gas industry is one of the highest paying sectors in terms of salary. Although there exist some differences in how much banks in Nigeria pay their workers as no specific law compels them to have a fixed amount for their staff, there is usually that prestige that comes with being in the employ of that financial sector.

So how much does Central Bank of Nigeria pay its entry level staff?

According to an insider who spoke on the condition of anonymity, at the entry level, Central Bank of Nigeria pays a minimum of N122,000 monthly depending on the department and unit.

The pay continues to rise as the staff conti ues to rise in ranks with the duration of service also put into consideration.

One might say the entry level pay is quite low compared to most commercial banks. Be not disturbed as what is lacking in salary is well compensated for in allowances and bonuses.
