The suspect was said to have gone to the notorious Oboye Street for reprisal attack on the rival cult group before the police got hint of it and rounded him up.

According to eye witnesses, when the police arrived there, there were exchanges of gun fire between the police and the gang until the police overpowered them and arrested the suspects.

Efforts to speak with the DPO failed as he was said to have gone to the State Command at Ikeja to brief the Commissioner of Police.

However, police sources confirmed the incident and said the suspects have been terrorising Ejigbo and its environs.

The sources said the suspects will be handed over to State Anti-robbery squad, SARS for further interrogation.
