Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has joined Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo in meeting with former governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu-Sheriff.
Osinbajo reportedly went into the closed-door meeting with Sheriff shortly after presiding over a meeting of the National Economic Management Team.
While Oyegun arrived the Vice President's Office at exactly 4.45pm, Sheriff, a former member of the APC, who was until recently the chairman of the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP), had arrived Osinbajo's office at about 3:30pm.
It was gathered that Sheriff was reported to have been approached by the APC stakeholders in Borno state to rejoin their fold; a report that had been described as untrue by the state APC coalition.
