Faces Of Five Suspected Kidnappers Nabbed In Imo State (Photo)

Men of the Nigeria police in Imo state have successfully apprehended suspected kidnappers and murderers in the state.

The Imo State Police Command has arrested five persons for the kidnap and murder of two siblings in the state.
 
Parading the suspects, the state Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, said that the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the command carried out the operation that led to the arrest of the suspects at various locations in Rivers State.
 
The police boss, who described the action as barbaric, disclosed the identities of those arrested as Idris Ishola, 27, Gift Igwe 27, Solomon Godwin, 28, Sylvester China, 20 and Wosa Okechukwu, 23.
 
He said that the suspects were responsible for the kidnap and murder of two siblings, Oluchi Nnodumele and Chibuzo Nnodumele.
 
He said, “Between August 7 and 29, operatives of the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit arrested these suspects at Alawama Estate in Rivers State. They were rounded up over their involvement in the kidnap and murder of two victims.

“The victims were on their way from Owerri to Port Harcourt and on getting to Umuagwo in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area, the hoodlums attacked them, shot and killed one Oluchi Nnodumele, 23; while others sustained varying degree of gunshot injuries.”
 
Galadanchi disclosed that seven of the victims were kidnapped and taken to an unknown destination and robbed of their telephones and other valuables.
 
Explaining how the suspects were arrested, the commissioner of police said, “The suspects were arrested with the aid of tracking and digital analysis. The suspects have made useful statements and have confessed to being members of the notorious Junior Ashland secret cult.”
 
While promising that the suspects would be prosecuted in accordance with the law, Galadanchi said some of the victims’ phones were recovered from the suspects.
