Residents Scoop Fuel After Tanker Fell While Being Pursued By Police Van In Akwa Ibom (Photos)

There was pandemonium yesterday after a tanker fell and spilled its content along Calabar-Itu highway in Akwa Ibom while being pursued by the state anti-robbery squad.
It was gathered that the driver of the tanker was trying to evade arrest and rammed into the police van that double-crossed it and landed in a ditch.
Following the incident, some residents of Uyo trooped out yesterday to scoop fuel from a tanker.
Luckily, there was no death recorded, but some Akwa Ibomites had 'anniversary gift' as gallons and buckets were filled with the products (diesel).
