Four Killed, Two Arrested After Many Were Beheaded By Cultists In Ajah (Photo)

Policemen in Lagos state have arrested some suspects who reportedly beheaded victims in Ajah.

Four suspected cultists were killed during a clash between two rival cult groups of Aiye and Eiye in Ajah area of Lagos State on Sunday, The Independent has reported.
 
A very reliable source said in Lagos that two suspects were arrested by operatives from police Area “J” Command, Ajah over the killings.
 
Sources said that the cult groups had been at loggerheads over supremacy in the Sangotedo area of Ajah in recent times.
 
It was learnt that the suspected cultists used machetes and other dangerous weapons in the fight and inflicted fatal wounds on themselves.

“The police recovered four dead bodies and deposited them at the public mortuary. Three cutlasses were also recovered from the suspects.

“Security has been beefed-up in the area with more patrol policemen deployed. The area is calm now,” the source said.
 
It was further learnt that policemen were also combing the bushes on the road between Ogonbo community and Abraham Adesanya Estate in Ajah area for more victims.
 
DSP Bala Elkana, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State, confirmed that two suspects were arrested for cult clash and murder in Abraham Adesanya, Ajah and four corpses evacuated to the mortuary.
 
According to him, “On 14th April, 2019 at about 8:45a.m, Ogombo police station received a distress call that rival cult groups had a clash of supremacy along Abraham Adesanya, Lekki-Epe Expressway and four members of Eiye cult gang were killed by Aye members.

“Two suspects were arrested in connection with the case and they confessed to the commission of the crime. One axe with blood stains was recovered from the suspects. The four corpses were evacuated and deposited at public mortuary for autopsy. All the corpses have matchet cuts with one of the corpses’ head severed but not taken away. Investigation is ongoing. The command has launched a manhunt of the other fleeing cult members.”
