The management and players of Ibom Angels have expressed sadness over the death of the Police Machine players.

Two players of Police Machine FC of Uyo, Glory Saturday and Ani Ekong, lost their lives in a motor accident on Tuesday.
Apart from the two women footballers, Monica Anya, who was also involved in the accident, is severely injured.
The players were said to be returning from training when a vehicle hit them.
According to one of the club’s players simply identified as Ekaette, the incident also involved three other persons who are not Police Machine players.
She said, “It happened along New Stadium Road after training this (Tuesday) evening from Mopol Base, along Idoro Road. Six people were involved. Three are our players. Two of them are dead while one is in critical condition. She is currently in the hospital.
“It happened because of a bike man (motorcyclist) that was driving on one way. A jeep was trying to dodge the bike man when he rammed into them.”
Meanwhile, the management and players of Ibom Angels have expressed sadness over the death of the Police Machine players.
In a statement on Tuesday, Ibom Angels said, “We express sadness over the unfortunate situation, as two players of Police Machine Team, got killed this evening in Uyo after closing of their training session at MopolBase,alongIdoro road, Uyo.
“It is so hard to bear this unfortunate event as information reaching the media unit of Ibom Angels indicate that the team was about travelling tomorrow (Wednesday) to Abuja for the Nigeria Women’s Professional Football League relegation play-off.”
