Oreofe Odagbodo
A Nigerian man identified as Oreofe Odagbodo has shared how he was able to come out with a first-class degree despite his failure in the past.
In his testimony, Oreofe noted that despite failing the West African Examination Council (WAEC) on 7 different occasions, he finally earned a first-class degree in Civil Engineering.
Part of Oreofe’s testimony on LinkedIn, read:
“I Became Tired of Failure.
“I took seven separate SSCE Exams before obtaining the required five credits for admission into the university but now a First Class Civil Engineering Graduate.
“I began my formal education as an average student and in my senior secondary school years, I fell below average. I sat for seven different SSCE exams before passing the sixth, my the results were so poor that I had to repeat SS3. As a result of these exams, it took me two years after graduation from secondary school to gain admission to university.
“When I got to school, I sat down and thought about my life. I was tired of being in the back of the class, so I decided to be a serious Christian and an extra diligent student. To God’s honor, I graduated from OOU’s Civil Engineering Department as one of the Best students of set 2019/2020, with a CGPA of 4.67. It became a reality because I dreamed it and took intentional steps to make it a reality.”
