A half-naked motorist who was performing a solo sex act on the wheel of his car while watching porn on his phone was killed when he lost control of the car and crashed.
Police said Clifford Ray Jones, 58, was flung from his car through the sunroof after being distracted the X-rated clip on his smartphone
The 58-year-old, who lost control of the car after being distracted by the X-rated clip, was ejected through the vehicle's sunroof, officers say.
When Michigan State Police officers arrived on the scene, on Detroit's Interstate 75, at around 3.30am on Sunday, they found Jones outside the car.
He had not been wearing a seatbelt.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
Speaking to CBS Detroit, Michigan State Police Lieutenant Mike Shaw told how the incident was among the most bizarre he had encountered.
He said: “We see people putting on makeup, we see people doing different things as far as hygiene, as far as reading books, it’s almost to the fact there’s so much technology out there a lot of people are more paying attention to what they’re doing other than driving their cars."
