Shocking Details: Bombs Recovered from Boko Haram, Caused Explosion at Police Office in Yola (Photos)

Some details surrounding a powerful explosion suspected to be from a bomb, which occurred at the Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters, in Yola, Adamawa State has emerged.

Earlier, we reported it here  that there was an explosion at the Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters, in Yola, Adamawa State as many police officers were feared dead in Thursday’s bomb blast.
 
It was gathered that all buildings within the headquarters of Nigerian Police Anti-Bomb Squad, including the State Investigation Bureau (SIB), and Motor Traffic Division (MTD), were all affected by the bomb explosion.
 
 
It was further revealed that neighbouring buildings including the Jimeta Central Primary School, as well as headquarters of NITEL, post office, as well as the Jimeta central prison, were all affected by the blast.
 
According to Mohammed Gazali, the Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, the blast was caused by bombs recovered from Boko Haram insurgents and warehoused by the police alongside other crime exhibits, adding that most of the victims of the explosion were police personnel, though he did not give figures of casualties.
 
 
"Policemen were mostly affected and we don’t know the actual casualties for now as the place is not yet safe for us to go in," Gazali said.
 
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the explosion also affected the walls of nearby Majalisa Primary School where some pupils were injured.
 
 
Ahmad Sajoh, the Adamawa state Commissioner for Information, confirmed that the pupils sustained minor injuries and had been treated and discharged from hospital.
