Commotion As Man Stabs His Neighbour To Death Over Alleged Affair With His Wife In Ogun

Ikem Chika Emmanuel, a tenant, has reportedly stabbed Philip Fiama, his neighbor, to death in Ogun.

He stabbed his neighbor to death over an allegation that the latter was having a secret affair with his wife.

The suspect and the victim live at Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwon in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday, around 6:30pm.

Daily Post reports that the suspect had questioned the victim about why he was having an unholy relationship with his wife, an accusation Emmanuel denied.

After a fierce argument, the duo engaged in a fight that led to Emanuel stabbing Fiama to death.

Efforts to help Fiama survive the injury were not fruitful, as he died on his way to a hospital within their vicinity.

The suspect also immediately took to his heels.

Contacted, spokeswoman of the Ogun State Police Command, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident.

Odutola said, “Around 8pm on that day, someone came to report that one Philip Fiama, a tenant, accused Ikem Chika Emmanuel, another tenant of having sexual intercourse with his wife.

“This was reported to have led to a fight when Ikem Chika Emmanuel stabbed Fiama on the chest. The deceased was said to have been confirmed dead in one Tamara Hospital.

“The suspect has escaped to an unknown destination and the case has been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department, Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta for discreet investigation. The police are also on the trail of the fleeing suspect.”
