A police officer and two passersby have been killed by gunmen along the Owerri-Orlu road in Imo state on January 29, 2024.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the spokesperson of the command, ASP Henry Okoye said the state Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has condemned the barbaric attack in its entirety.
Okoye said in a determined effort to bring the perpetrators to justice, the Commissioner has ordered the Command's Tactical Team to collaborate with other security agencies and intensify efforts to apprehend the hoodlums responsible for this heinous crime.
Okoye mentioned that the Commissioner of Police has vowed that no stone would be left unturned, assuring the public that those responsible would face the full wrath of the law.
He went on to state that the Commissioner has called upon the well-meaning residents of Imo State to actively contribute to the ongoing investigation by providing any useful information that could lead to the swift arrest of the criminals.
