Vice President Kashim Shettima has made a vow to Nigerians.
He said that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government will do whatever it will takes to save Nigeria from collapse.
Shettima disclosed this in his remarks at the opening ceremony of the 17th Annual Banking and Finance Conference in Abuja organized by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
He noted that the banking sector is pivotal in solving the multifaceted challenges facing Nigeria’s economy.
“We do whatever it takes to salvage the state of Nigeria’s affairs,” he said.
The VP urged stakeholders in the conference to utilize the forum for addressing both national and global challenges.
He spoke as Nigerians grapple with the twin challenges of high inflation which stood at 33.40 percent and the recent hike of the petrol pump price to N897 from N617 per litre.
