Some officials of the Lagos State Police Command have been accused of extorting the sum of N1 million from three corps members in the Surulere area of the state.
X user Oluyemi Fasipe shared videos showing police officers looking through the car documents of the occupants of a car.
In no time, the encounter became heated and more police officers gathered and began making threats.
A police officer got into their car and is seen preventing the corps members from filming the encounter. He also refused to let them call their loved ones and insisted they keep their phones hidden.
Fasipe shared the video with the caption: "Dear @BenHundeyin, Your officers today in Surulere extorted 1 million naira from 3 corps members.
"They were threatened with firearms, kidnapped, and taken to the KAFARU OLUWOLE TINUBU HOUSE AREA C POLICE COMMAND of the @LagosPoliceNG where they were robbed.
"Their offence was the absence of a physical copy of a driver's license. This is evil!"
