A former Kenyan banker, Neema Shiqs, has opined that marriage is not for everyone.

She advised women who believe in gender equality and cannot submit to their men to stay single.

According to her, a man and a woman would never be the same in terms of hierarchy, even if the woman is wealthier.

“Marriage is not for every woman. If you're too big to respect a man leave marriage alone. If you still believe in gender equality aunty please stay single. If you are not submissive kindly stay at your home. In marriage, a man and a woman will never be the same even if the woman has more money,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.
