They also called on the government to probe the continued languishing of dozens of Nigerians in the notorious underground job scam centre in Myanmar.

The Okeadu family in Imo State has called for justice following the gruesome murder of their son, Obinna Okeadu, in Myanmar at a job scam centre linked to Thailand.

The family lamented that dozens of other Nigerians are still reportedly on the danger list.

Speaking with SaharaReporters, the family is specifically asking the President Bola Tinubu-led government to intervene and investigate the circumstances leading to the de@th of the 33 years old Mbano-born engineer.

They also called on the government to probe the continued languishing of dozens of Nigerians in the notorious underground job scam centre in Myanmar.

Recall that the Nigerian government was said to have recently sent the job scam centre parking from Nigeria following reported cases of fraudulent activities including inhumane treatment of workers by the slave camp.

But the centre quickly relocated to Myanmar where it lured some Nigerians including late Okeadu to join its workforce .

SaharaReporters learnt that the centre with two locations in myanmar and Cambodia would invite their victim for unspecified jobs with "juicy pay package."

"But on getting to the slave camp, the story will change, the victims will be given targets to meet within a specific time frame and failure to meet the target the victim will either be sold off to another similar centre or have his organs harvested to recover their investment on you, including your airfare to Thailand,"
a source told SaharaReporters.

"Some were tortured to de@th where they suspect the victim may be unserious with his job. The centre in questionable circumstances wil hire out its victims to other centres for hard and risky job,"
the source added.

A member of the family, Okechukwu Okeadu, told journalists in Abuja at the weekend that his 33 years old unsuspecting younger brother Obinna and other unspecified number of young men across Africa were invited by the company in Myanmar near Thailand to work in a factory job.

Obinna was said to have joined the centre in its Myanmar camp in August this year not knowing the evil ahead of him.

His trouble started when he got into the underground camp and his immigration documents were taken away from him by the operators who would in turn hand over a tag to each worker to meet under a specific time allowed by the centre.

"Obinna joined hundreds of young men in a shallow underground apartment where you would not be allowed to receive or make any call until you regain your freedom,"
it was reported.

A family source alleged that Obinna may have been injected with dangerous substances which may have k!lled him slowly.

One of the inmates in a secret message to the family said Obinna d!ed slowly following the substances injected on him by the owners of the centre.

According to him, Obinna complained he was tired and could not continue with the task for that day, only for the suppervisors to descend on him, hitting him with hard object and they injected him.

The family is asking the Nigerian government to intervene in the matter.

"We want to know why our son was subjected into such inhumane treatment. We were told he was tortured, until urine were dripping from his organ. Another source told us they may have harvested his organs to recover their investment on Obinna,"
the family lamented.

The family said it is yet to be officially communicated on whether Obinna is de@d or alive by the centre.

"We want to see his body if Obinna is de@d or alive,"
they added.

The family is also drawing the attention to the fact that some other Nigerians are being recruited by the same centre.
