Juliana Olayode Speaks Out on Women Who Want Marriage

Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode has stood up for women who want to get married, saying that dreaming of becoming a wife does not make a woman desperate or without purpose.

She shared her thoughts in a post on social media, where she said women should be free to choose the life they want without being judged.

She said women who are happy being single or have no interest in marriage deserve respect for their choice.

In the same way, women who want marriage should be able to say so without being shamed.

Olayode stressed that not every woman who wants a husband is desperate.

She said being excited about marriage takes nothing away from a woman ambition or her achievements, and she added that wanting to marry is not a personality disorder.

She admitted that some marriages end in pain and that the institution has its challenges.

Still, she said many people see it as a beautiful union and hope to enjoy it one day.

The actress also told of a time at a salon when she overheard some women mocking another woman for saying she wanted to get married.

She said she gave her own view during the talk.

She later found the whole thing funny when she came across a swimsuit with the word BRIDE on it that a friend gave her in 2024.

She said people are free to decide marriage is not for them but should give the same freedom to those who want it.

Olayode added that women can chase different things in life including faith, purpose, career success, money, friendship, family and marriage.

She ended by wishing everyone who wants marriage a good partner and a happy union, signing off with a call to lift up love and lift up marriage.
