Vice President Kashim Shettima has left Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to lead a government exchange focused on boosting nutrition programs and delivery.
According to a statement from the presidency on Tuesday, Shettima is attending the inaugural Nigeria-Ethiopia Nutrition Leadership Exchange Visit following an invitation from Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh.
The forum aims to share lessons on how government-led plans and multi-level collaboration can improve nutrition outcomes.
During the trip, the Nigerian delegation will tour key agricultural and nutrition sites in Ethiopia, including a wheat farm and banana plantation in Oromia, the 'Bounty of the Basket' Training Centre in Mojo, and Jabdu Motors in Bishoftu.
Shettima's entourage includes Governors Dauda Lawal of Zamfara and Umar Namadi of Jigawa, Budget Minister Abubakar Bagudu, Agriculture Minister Abubakar Kyari, and NEMA Director-General Zubaida Abubakar.
He is expected to return to Abuja after completing the official engagements.
