An unnamed horse-rider in the northern part of Nigeria escaped death by whiskers in a ghastly accident that cost him his horse.

A horse rider who had a serious accident involving two horses during Emir of Minna Sallah visit to the Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello yesterday has survived the terrible incident.

The young man's life was salvaged by officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other emergency officials who responded quickly and rushed him to the hospital.

The report on how the blood event took place are currently sketchy, but the horse reportedly died on the spot.
