Governor Ayodele Fayose is still maintaining his stand that Aisha Buhari, the wife of the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari was a beneficiary of the controversial Halliburton bribery scandal.

Social media users and supporters of the All Progressives Congress have been baying for the head of Governor Ayodele Fayose since Aisha Buhari visited the United States of America on a weeklong working trip.

Fayose had earlier alleged Aisha Buhari's involvement in the Halliburton scandal with claims that the FBI is on her trail thereby prompting her avoidance of the country in the fear of arrest and prosecution.

A Twitter post by online newspaper, Premium Times attracted the attention of the Special Assistant to Governor Ayodele Fayose on Public Communication and New Media, Ekiti state, Lere Olayinka who reiterated the veracity of their seemingly unfounded claims about Aisha Buhari's criminal record.

Fayose and his media representatives took cover since August 4, when Aisha Buhari's publicists released pictures of her visit to the U.S unrestrained by security operatives.
