A Supreme Court Justice arrested by Department of State Security Services, DSS, Justice John Inyang Okoro, has revealed how former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi came to his house and attempted to bribe him over three election petitions matters that were resolved earlier this year.

 

The Justice made the shocking revelation through a letter he addressed to the Chief Justice of Nigeria. Justice Okoro narrated his ordeal in the hands of DSS on the night of Friday October 7th and early morning of Saturday October 8th.

 

He revealed how Amaechi came to his house informing him that President Mohammadu Buhari and the APC wanted to win the three election petitions by all means in Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Abia.

 

The Judge further revealed that Amaechi told him that he sponsored Umana Umana, the candidate of the APC in the Akwa Ibom state governorship election and as such must see that he wins his case in court so as to get back the money he had invested. Amaechi promised to reward the judge financially if he plays ball.

 

The judge said it might be because he didn't help as Amaechi had planned, that was why he is now being hunted by the government.
