An old blind Zimbabwean man from Plumtree ended up suffering a rare stroke soon after allegedly r*ping his maid’s four-year-old daughter.
According to The Weekend Post, Mbizo Walton Ndlovu, 85, of Gasavu suburb this week appeared before magistrate Chrispen Mberewere facing r*pe charges.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody.
Prosecutor Busani Moyo told the court that Ndlovu lured the girl into his bedroom and r*ped her once on February 27.
Moyo told the court that when the incident happened the complainant’s mother and the accused’s granddaughter were preparing lunch at a fire place outside the house.
When the complainant’s mother went into the house she found the accused person n*ked while the complainant was lying on top of the bed.
The court further heard that this made the complainant’s mother suspicious and filed a police report.
After that, the complainant was rushed to hospital when he suffered a serious stroke.
The trial continues.
