Pictorial evidence has emerged showing how weed and reptiles have taken over a Delta State council secretariat.
The secretariat has been taken over by weed
According to a Daily Post report, the Ughelli South Local Government Council’s Secretariat has been overtaken by weeds and reptiles, leaving the Council in a sorry state.
A walk into the council leaves one suspicious of creeping objects for fear of not being bitten by snakes and other dangerous animals as grasses have overtaken some of the offices.
Daily Post reports that the council’s infrastructures are also in deplorable condition.
There are no furniture and no security gates with no official cars to run and manage the council.
Staff scarcely come to work as they are allegedly being owed about thirteen months salaries.
Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, in a town hall meeting, had allegedly said he owes no Salary of any Local Government Staff, urging Council Chairmen to fashion out ways to pay the staff.
