Weird: This Woman Says She Loves Her Dog More Than Her 12-year-old Son (Photo)

A woman has made a claim which has left many people completely astonished as she tells the world she loves her dog more than her own son.

Angela Garvin and her dog

Angela Garvin, a mother-of-one has admitted that she loves her dog more than her own family, Daily Mail UK reports.

The woman made this explanation during an appearance on This Morning, that she prefers her bond with her beloved pet French bulldog terrier to the one she shares with her husband Peter and their 12-year-old son, Daniel, because Frenchie's love is 'simplistic' and unconditional.

'It's a different kind of love. It's simplistic. He has no conditions with me, compared to human beings,' she said on the show.

The legal secretary added: 'I love my son and my husband. But I love Frenchie a lot more.'

Angela went on to admit her husband thinks she's 'a bit delusional'.

'He kind of accepts that part of my personality, but he thinks it’s a bit silly,' she said.

Angela explained to to presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford that Frenchie was always welcoming whenever she arrived home after a hard day at work.

'There is no emotional downside there. He is always welcoming. Whereas with people, they have emotions.'

She said that as her son grew older and became more independent she felt the need to mother her dog instead.

'At 12 they start to become more independent and do their own things with their friends. They are out of the house more, but Frenchie is not.'

The two-and-a-half-year old French bulldog terrier wasn't so well-behaved during the segment, barking at the cameraman as Angela spoke.

To keep the pooch calm Eamonn proposed a walk around the studio as the animal lover shook her head in embarrassment over the noise.

Unable to believe that Angela truly meant she would put her dog above her family, Ruth asked: 'Do you genuinely mean it when you say you love Frenchie more than them?'

'If they're watching on a par. If they are not watching I love him more.'
