One of the frontline contenders for the national chairmanship position of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olabode George, has spoken out on reports that he has resigned from the party's BoT.

made rounds online early on Friday that a frontline contender in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s national Chairmanship position, Chief Olabode George, resigned his membership of the party's board of trustees (BoT).
While speaking to newsmen in Abuja on Friday, the influential politician and elder statesman, debunked the reports claiming that he had resigned his membership of the opposition party's board of trustees.
According to Vanguard, Chief George who described the reports as rumours, said that he remains a life member of the party’s BoT.
He said; “I remain a life member of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party and I have not resigned and I have no intention to resign.”
Chief George also described those peddling the rumour as “suffering from chronic hopelessness.”
