RE: PERSONAL SECURITY TIPS

 

The Imo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public of very important personal security tips that are necessary in complementing the efforts of security agencies in the state especially during the yuletide season/celebrations.

 

1. All persons engaged in business transactions that involve huge carriage of cash must endeavor to apply for security coverage.

 

2. Such transactions must as much as possible be kept secret and not shared with people who do not need to know about it.

 

3. Avoid unnecessary display of wealth and flamboyant outfits.

4. Avoid late night movements.

 

5. Avoid the use of special plate numbers as it is a trademark and can easily be used to identify you.

 

6. Be vigilant about people around you when making use of the Bank ATM.

 

7. Any person(s) boarding a taxi or other commercial vehicles should note the fleet number or the registration number of the vehicle.

 

8. Suspicious persons, movement and transactions must be reported to the nearest Police station or contact the under mentioned phone numbers for prompt action.
