See How Senator Shehu Sani Reacted After 41 Innocent People Were Killed In Zamfara

The senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has expressed sadness over the shocking murder of 41 persons in Zamfara state.

A day after suspected armed bandits killed at least 41 people at Birane village in Zurmi local government area of Zamfara state, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted. The lawmaker who took to Twitter condemned the dastardly act as he said 'mourning is becoming a part of our lives.'
 
He wrote: "The bloodshed in Zamfara is yet another tragedy in a series.There is no enough tears to cry. Mourning is becoming part of our lives. Everyday is becoming a burial day. Funeral is becoming a daily service. The most tragic of all tragedies is when tragedy is no more a headline.
 
"That the 17 Murdered in Florida gets more global media attention than the 41 Murdered in Zamfara, Nigeria tells more about the international community's selective approach and selective interest in worlds tragedy and by extension crisis."
 
The attack carried out on Thursday happened after the gunmen intercepted a Canter vehicle conveying bridesmaids and traders to the community market. They slit the throat of the driver and then opened fire on the vehicle killing all on board and then set it ablaze. 
 
The armed bandits then proceeded to the community market and started shooting indiscriminately. The traders scampered for safety as the gunmen continued their assault unabated.
 
"They arrived in large number and on motorbikes intercepting and killing people who were coming or going out of the village. About 41 people were shot dead within a short period of time, " a resident Hussaini Abdu said.
 
Abdu further explained that a commercial motorbike rider conveying a woman and her three children was killed and his motor bike burnt adding that up till now the where about of the woman and her children is not known.
