Photos of the car in which Nigerian footballer, Chinedu Udoji was driving before his unfortunate death have been released.

Chinedu Udoji, a former Enyimba international captain and star player of Kano Pillars is dead. He died after his man-of-the-match performance for his team in the match-day 9 of the Nigerian Professional Football League against Enyimba FC.

Udoji who played full time in the match and was voted man of the match before he gruesome death in auto accident last night (Sunday 18th February 2018).

Before his death, he was one of the most experienced players in the NPFL.

His club, Kano Pillars FC mourned him on Twitter writing: "Chinedu Udoji was involved in a car accident yesterday after visiting his former team mates at Enyimba. This tragic accident happened along Club Road in Kano. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, fans, and football lovers all across the country."

The club added: "Tragedy hits Pillars as we lost Chinedu Udoji after a terrific car accident in Kano. The untimely death Chinedu Udoji is shocking and a great loss to the football family."
