TORI News had reported earlier that President Muhammadu Buhari met with the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The closed-door meeting was held inside the new Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The influential APC chueftain, Tinubu had arrived for the meeting at exactly 3:30pm.
He arrived five minutes after Senate President Bukola Saraki, House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara and APC National Chairman John Odigie-Oyegun departed the Villa after meeting with the president.
This is ahead of tonight's meeting of the national caucus of the ruling party scheduled for 8:30pm at the State House in Abuja.
